Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to visit?
The dry season, roughly December to April, is the most reliable for beaches and outdoor activities across most of the region. Confirm per country, since microclimates vary.
Can I combine several countries in one trip?
Yes. Overland travel between Central American countries is common, and island-hopping works in the Caribbean. Allow buffer time for slower border crossings and ferries.
Is the region good for beaches and diving?
Very much so. Belize, the Bahamas and the Caribbean islands are known for reefs and clear water, while the Pacific side offers strong surf.
